Thanks for stopping by and taking a look around.
I want to tell you a little about me, why I love my job and also why I chose wedding photography.
Who's behind the camera?
Where to start? I'm Allan, a husband and Dad from the little town of Biggar in Lanarkshire. I have lived here all of my Thirty something years and wouldn't change it for the world... well apart from the weather.
Talking of weather, I like to travel to warmer climates and experience different cultures but I am also just as happy by the pool splashing around with my daughter, Niamh, and my son Cooper. I am a big sports fan and being from an engineering background a massive DIY'er.
I have been married to my best friend for 8 years, So I know all about the stresses and nerves of Weddings, planning and on the day itself.
Why photography?
I have been photographing for as long as I can remember. I was given an old camera when I was a child and since then I have been hooked. It took me a long time to realise that my hobby could be a career. But what could be better than making a living off something you have loved doing for years. It makes calling it work very difficult because I still love doing it!
Why weddings?
It wasn't really a question I asked myself! In truth the answer came before the question. I photographed a few weddings and parties for friends and families and it all really stemmed from there. I just loved the opportunity of capturing the little moments that all added up to make the big day. And that's the mantra I still hold today.
I enjoy being part of the journey of every couple on their wedding day from the pre-vow nerves to the relief that the first dance is over! And all the way along that journey I aim to capture the moments that wont happen ever again to tell the story of your day.
